Babar Azam Drops from ICC Test Rankings

Sad news for Pakistani cricket lovers, especially Babar fans, as our favorite cricketer is not in the Ranking of Top 10 Test Batsmen in the world. Babar Azam Drops from ICC Test Rankings,  The captain of the Pakistan cricket team, Babar Azam, also known by the name “Boby” is no longer the top 10 Test cricket batsmen in the world as he goes to the 11th spot with a total of 714 points.

Babar Azam failed to perform against South After the home series at the start of this year. Plus, his below-average outing against Zimbabwe caused him to lose his spot. Therefore, the Pakistani Captain moved out of the ICC ranking

Babar Azam is replaced by the South African Opener, Quinton de Kock. Quinton got the 10th spot in the ranking because of his spectacular run in the Test series that he played recently against West Indies. He made 237 runs in the two-match series, with an average of 118.5 runs. Quinton is now sitting at 10th place in the new ICC top 10 rankings for Test batsmen with 717 points.

Quinton made the comeback in the ICC ranking thanks to his unbeaten knock of 141 runs in the first innings of the second Test against West Indies. In the second innings of the same match, he made an innings of 96 runs and helped his team to secure the victory as well the series against the Windies.

Former Australian Captain, Steve Smith is sitting at the top spot for a long time with a rating of 891 points. Behind him is Kane Williamson, the Kiwi Skipper with 886 rating points. The third spot of the ranking is owned by the Australian batsman, Marnus Labuschagne with a total of 878 rating points.

As Pakistani captain falls out of the rating, no Pakistani batsman is owning a spot in the ICC ranking of Top 10 test batsmen. Hopefully, with the upcoming series against West Indies in August, Babar or any other Pakistani batsman will make it back into the Top 10 ranking.

Ahead, the latest ranking of Top 10 Test Batsman 2021:
